Appearance

●       It grows up to 75 centimetres tall

●       The Golden Lily is a herb that has bright yellow petals with thick roots, most of the time with a bulb

●       It has succulent, greyish-green lanceolate leaves.

Uses

●       It can be more than just a native herb and vegetable. It also makes a cheerful ornamental garden plant.

●       The protruding roots are also edible.

Location and climate

●       The golden lily grows in meadows and grasslands.

●       The Golden Lily grows in all Australian states except the NT and WA

Interesting facts

●       Other common names: leek lily, wild onion, yellow onion weed, native leek.

●       It can attract lots of bees and insects.
