Uniforms
When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.
Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform in line with The NSW Department of Education’s School Uniform Policy and Policy Guidelines to make sure it:
- meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation
- includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
- is appropriate for the full range of school activities
- is suitable for all body shapes
- meets the requirements of student wellbeing policy for sun safety
School uniform is required at Lane Cove Public School. Most school uniform items, with the exception of shoes, are available from the school uniform shop.
The uniform shop at Lane Cove Public is run as a sub-committee of the P&C and is staffed by volunteers. The limited profits made by the shop are re-invested in school programs for the benefit of the school community. There is a part-time paid manager employed by the P&C who is responsible for daily operations. Volunteers are always needed.

Please ensure that all your child's items are clearly labelled with their full name and current class.
SUMMER UNIFORM (Terms 1 and 4)
- White polo shirt with school logo worn with;
- Green sports shorts with logo or,
- Grey shorts or,
- Green culottes
- A-line summer check tunic dress
- White socks (girls)
- Grey socks (boys)
- Black school shoes or black joggers
- School sweatshirt or jacket with logo
- School hat with logo
WINTER UNIFORM (Terms 2 and 3)
- White polo shirt with logo (long or short sleeved), worn with;
- Long grey trousers
- Bottle green straight leg trousers
- Check A-line winter tunic worn with;
- Long sleeved white blouse with peter pan collar,
- Black or white socks and/or black tights (girls)
- Grey socks (boys)
- Black school shoes
- Sweatshirt or jacket with logo
- School hat with logo
SPORTS UNIFORM (worn on allocated sports days)
- Coloured house polo shirt (long or short sleeved) with logo NB - house colours are allocated on enrolment
- School sports shorts or track pants with logo
- Sports Jacket, sweatshirt or jacket with logo
- Sport shoes
- School hat with logo
ACCESSORIES
- Green school bag (large/small) with logo
- Green waterproof library/excursion bag
- Water-resistant art smock
- Green, black, white or grey school hair accessories
UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS
- All open toed footwear (e.g. sandals, thongs etc.)
- Coloured hair/body ornaments
- Tracksuit pants worn under tunics
- Non-standard school hats or caps
- Tracksuit other than school sport uniform tracksuit
- Parkas
- Jewellery
LOST PROPERTY
Lost property is located in the undercover area outside the Osborne Park Building, near the school library.
